Preparation
- Spray 5 ramekins with cooking spray, then wipe out most of the oil with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the agar agar and 1/4 cup water, then set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, combine vegan heavy cream and sugar, and heat over medium until boiling.
- Once boiling, whisk in the agar agar mixture and continue boiling for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and salt.
- Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared ramekins and let cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Cover each ramekin with plastic wrap and refrigerate to set for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Serving
- Invert the panna cotta onto serving plates or serve directly in ramekins.
- Top with the prepared berry topping and enjoy!
Notes
This panna cotta keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days. Freezing is not recommended as it alters the texture. Adjust the sugar according to personal taste. Infuse with spices for unique flavors.
