Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute half with whole wheat flour for a healthier twist.
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For the dough.
  • 3/4 cup warm water
Garlic Oil Mixture
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For brushing.
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) Add more for extra flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. Add olive oil and warm water; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces. Roll each piece into a knot shape.
  3. Place knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush this mixture over the knots.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite pasta or sauce.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can freeze for up to three months; reheat in the oven at 350°F until warm.
