Preparation
- In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth but still slightly chunky.
- Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, olive oil, and soy sauce. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Serving
- Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Got leftovers? These burgers keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months. Form patties ahead of time for convenience.
