  • 4 slices turkey bacon Crispy and flavorful
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar or your choice) Gooey and melty cheese
  • 2 slices bread (your choice) Choose your favorite type of bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter For toasting the bread
Optional Toppings
  • lettuce For a fresh crunch
  • tomato slices Adds juiciness and flavor
  • salt and pepper To taste

Method
 

Cooking the Bacon
  1. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy.
Preparing the Sandwich
  1. While the bacon cooks, butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Once the bacon is done, place a slice of bread in the skillet, buttered side down.
  3. Add cheese on top of the bread, layer with crispy turkey bacon, and then top with another slice of cheese.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
Cooking the Sandwich
  1. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melty.
  2. Remove from the skillet, add lettuce and tomato if desired, slice, and enjoy your Turkey Bacon Melt Sandwich!

Notes

To enhance the sandwich, try different cheeses, add spices, or mix up the bread. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for about 2 months.
