- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into balls (about 4 ounces each) and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the beef balls on the hot skillet and smash them down with a spatula to create a crispy edge.
- Cook for about 3 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Mix the hot sauce and mayonnaise in a bowl for a spicy sauce.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the buns, adding the cooked patties, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon if desired.
