Ingredients

Filling
  • 1 lb ground pork (or chicken)
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • grated ginger
  • chopped green onions
  • salt and pepper to taste
Dough
  • Dough for dumplings (flour and water mixture)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground pork, chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and salt and pepper until well combined.
  2. Roll out the dumpling dough and cut it into circles.
  3. Place a small amount of the filling in the center of each dough circle.
  4. Gather the edges of the dough and pinch to seal, ensuring there are no gaps.
Cooking
  1. Steam the dumplings in a steamer basket for about 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, roll your dough thin—not too thin, so it’s soft yet supportive. You can add chili flakes or garlic to the filling for extra flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 1 month.
