  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the crushed pineapple evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the pineapple.
  4. Evenly distribute the dry cake mix over the pecans.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix, ensuring it’s evenly covered.
  6. If using, sprinkle the shredded coconut on top.
  7. Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
