  • 1 box yellow cake mix

  • 1 cup shredded coconut (optional) Toast before adding for enhanced flavor.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple (with juice) into a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pineapple.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
  5. Sprinkle coconut and nuts, if using.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzled caramel sauce for a delicious contrast. Can store leftovers in the fridge for 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
