Ingredients
  

For the Cobbler
  • 4 cups fresh or canned peaches Use canned peaches if fresh are out of season.
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Can experiment with nutmeg or ginger.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix Can substitute with chocolate or spice cake mix.
  • 1 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup water Do not mix with other ingredients.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine peaches, sugar, and cinnamon. Spread the mixture in the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peach mixture.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix evenly.
  5. Pour water over the top (do not mix).
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

This cobbler can be stored in the fridge for 3-5 days. Cover tightly for best results. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
