Preparation of Crust
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil until a dough forms.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan to form the crust.
Preparation of Filling
- In a blender or food processor, combine ripe avocados, cacao powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
Assembly and Chilling
- Pour the avocado filling over the crust and smooth the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve topped with fresh berries, a sprinkle of cocoa nibs, or a drizzle of coconut cream. This tart keeps well in the fridge for about 5 days, or it can be frozen for up to 3 months.
