Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup almonds Finely ground.
  • 1 cup walnuts Finely ground.
  • 1/2 cup pecans Finely ground.
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (such as dates or raisins) Use your favorite variety.
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a food processor, combine the almonds, walnuts, and pecans until finely ground.
  2. Add the dried fruit, chia seeds, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until the mixture is well combined and sticky.
  3. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  4. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the dish evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  6. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about one week, or freeze for longer storage. Make sure the nuts are finely ground for the best consistency. If the mixture is too dry, add a bit more maple syrup or water. Customize with different dried fruits, shredded coconut, peanut butter, or cinnamon.
