Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 cup Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) Rehydrate in broth or water
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Adds flavor to the patties
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For cooking the patties
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder For seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder For seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For seasoning and flavor
  • Additional spices (as desired) Feel free to add your favorites.
Serving Ingredients
  • 4 Buns Any type you prefer
  • 1 cup Lettuce For adding crunch
  • 1 Tomato Sliced
  • 1 Onion Sliced for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak the TVP in warm water or vegetable broth until rehydrated.
  2. In a bowl, mix the rehydrated TVP with spices, soy sauce, and any additional seasonings.
  3. Form the mixture into burger patties.
Cooking
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side until crispy.
Serving
  1. Serve the patties on buns with lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Notes

Leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
