Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked lentils and brown rice.
- Add the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Form the mixture into burger patties.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Optionally, transfer the patties to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10 minutes for extra firmness.
- Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For leftovers, store in the fridge for about 4–5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For reheating, use a skillet or microwave. Experiment with spices and chill patties before cooking for better texture.
