  • 1 lb ground turkey or chicken Can substitute with beef or Italian sausage.
  • 1 cup onion, chopped Adds sweetness and texture.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Toasted garlic enhances the flavor.
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth Use low sodium for a healthier option.
  • 14 oz crushed tomatoes Canned for convenience.
  • 2 cups lasagna noodles, broken Can use whole noodles, just break in pot.
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Adds creaminess.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Use fresh for best melting.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese For added flavor.
  • 1 tbsp dried basil Can substitute with fresh basil.
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  2. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Pour in the broth and crushed tomatoes, then bring to a boil.
  4. Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in ricotta cheese and season with basil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Remove from heat, then stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Serve hot!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave.
