Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Additional for coating
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup almond milk Can substitute with other non-dairy milks.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar Adjust for additional sweetness if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Cooking
  • Coconut oil spray Essential for crispy texture.
  • Cinnamon and sugar for coating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the almond milk, coconut sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll the dough into small balls and lightly spray with coconut oil.
  3. Place in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
  4. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. In a bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar.
  6. Remove churro bites from the air fryer and toss in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftover churro bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. They can also be refrigerated for up to a week. Reheat in the air fryer for the best taste.
