  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Finally, mix in the flour and walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or cream cheese. Store wrapped tightly to keep fresh for 3-5 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat slices in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
