Filling Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts Optional for added crunch.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened For spreading.
Frosting Ingredients
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened At room temperature.
  • 1/4 cup brown butter For enhanced flavor.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, salt, melted butter, and egg. Mix well.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the banana mixture.
  4. Gradually add flour, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if using).
  4. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  5. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For frosting, whip the cream cheese with brown butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
