  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 clove garlic, sliced optional

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, vinegar, sugar, salt, and optional red pepper flakes and garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve.
  2. Place carrot sticks in a jar or container.
  3. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the carrots, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  4. Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

Notes

Store your pickled carrots in the fridge where they'll stay delicious for up to two weeks. Keep them submerged in the brine to maintain crispiness.
