  • 4 pieces chicken breasts Boneless, skinless
  • 2 cups chicken broth Low sodium preferred
  • 1 packet gravy mix
  • 1 piece onion, chopped White or yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for best flavor
  • to taste salt and pepper
Optional Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the chicken broth, gravy mix, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  2. Shred the chicken in the gravy before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or with your favorite sides.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Store any remaining chicken gravy in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. It can be frozen for up to three months. When reheating, add a splash of chicken broth to keep the gravy smooth and creamy.
