Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Can be replaced with coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Fold in gently

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a donut pan with grease or paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the plant-based milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the apple cider vinegar gently.
Baking
  1. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  2. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
  1. Decorate as desired with frosting, sprinkles, or a fruit glaze before serving.

Notes

These donuts stay fresh for about 3-5 days at room temperature in an airtight container. If you want to keep them longer, pop them in the freezer for up to a month. Just reheat them in the microwave for about 10 seconds before serving.
