Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a donut pan with grease or paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the plant-based milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the apple cider vinegar gently.
Baking
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving
- Decorate as desired with frosting, sprinkles, or a fruit glaze before serving.
Notes
These donuts stay fresh for about 3-5 days at room temperature in an airtight container. If you want to keep them longer, pop them in the freezer for up to a month. Just reheat them in the microwave for about 10 seconds before serving.
