Preparation
- Grate, chop, or shred your selected vegetables and place them in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and spices.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the bowl of vegetables. Add water to create a batter that holds together but is not too wet.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- When hot, take spoonfuls of batter and drop them into the oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Serving
- Remove the fritters from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
