Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 block firm tofu Press to remove excess moisture.
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use panko for extra crunch, if desired.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour Substitute with gluten-free flour, if needed.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • Olive oil spray or a little oil for brushing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into strips.
Coating
  1. In a bowl, mix honey mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip each tofu strip in flour, then coat with the honey mustard mixture, and finally roll in breadcrumbs.
Baking
  1. Place the coated tofu tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Spray lightly with olive oil.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Serving
  1. Serve with your favorite dip, such as ranch, barbecue, or extra honey mustard.
  2. These tenders can also be added to salads or wraps.

Notes

To store leftovers, place the cooled tofu tenders in an airtight container. They can stay in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
