Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Sifted for lighter texture
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup aquafaba Liquid from canned chickpeas, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
For Serving
  • Powdered sugar For dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the aquafaba and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the aquafaba mixture into the dry ingredients, then add the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared tube pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let cool completely before removing from the pan.
  3. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a twist, consider adding lemon zest or chocolate chips. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze wrapped well for longer storage.
