Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, melted coconut oil, 1/4 cup maple syrup, and salt to form a crust.
- Press the mixture into a tart pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine blood orange juice, cornstarch, 1/4 cup maple syrup, and vanilla extract over medium heat.
- Stir until thickened.
- Pour the citrus filling into the cooled crust.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Garnish with fresh blood orange slices before serving.
Notes
Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months. Let it thaw in the fridge overnight without reheating.
