Preparation
- In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.
- Add the breadcrumbs, onions, garlic, herbs, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and the beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small patties or fritters.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the fritters for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from pan and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
Serve with a zesty dipping sauce like tahini or yogurt. Can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
