  • 1/2 cup chopped onion Adds sweetness and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the flavor of the meat.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper For seasoning the dish.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture.
  4. Stir in rice, beef broth, and diced tomatoes.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

For best flavor, don't rush the browning of the beef. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses and vegetables.
