Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened is preferred.
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda For leavening.
  • 1/4 tsp salt Enhances flavor.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup Can substitute with agave or brown rice syrup.
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted Let cool slightly before mixing.
  • 1/4 cup almond milk Any plant-based milk can be used.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds a nice flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm for the best experience. Top with coconut ice cream or vegan chocolate sauce for added delight.
