  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced Choose a tender cut for best results.
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, snap peas) Feel free to swap with any seasonal vegetables.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use low-sodium for a healthier version.
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce This adds a rich flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Used for thickening the sauce.
Flavorings
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated Fresh ginger enhances flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Toasting garlic adds depth to the flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning as per preference.
Cooking Fat
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying the beef and vegetables.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Toss in the ginger and garlic, stirring for another minute.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch with a bit of water.
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture, stirring to coat.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.

Notes

Serve over rice or noodles. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for later use. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds for extra crunch.
