Gut Healing Gummies
Why Make This Recipe
Gut healing gummies are not just a tasty treat; they’re also super beneficial for your digestive health. These gummies are packed with gelatin, which can help improve gut lining and promote a healthy digestive system. Plus, making your own allows you to control the ingredients, ensuring they’re free from artificial additives and sugars. They’re a fun and delicious way to support your gut health!
How to Make Gut Healing Gummies
Ingredients:
- Coconut oil (for greasing the pan)
- 4 cups of juice (divided; any juice other than pineapple)
- 8 tablespoons gelatin (Vital Proteins is my favorite brand)
Directions:
- Lightly grease an 8”x8” pan with coconut oil.
- First, you’ll want to bloom the gelatin. To do this, place 3 cups of the juice into a wide, shallow bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the top of the juice. Let the mixture stand for 3-5 minutes as the gelatin begins to absorb the juice. It will look somewhat like applesauce when you stir it up, and you’ll no longer see any white gelatin once it’s ready.
- Meanwhile, heat the remaining 1 cup of juice in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-low heat. Once the juice is hot, add the gelatin/juice mixture and stir to dissolve.
- Carefully pour the mixture into your lightly greased pan. Place the pan into your fridge for at least 4-5 hours to set the gummies.
- Cut into squares or the shape of your choice and ENJOY!
How to Serve Gut Healing Gummies
These gummies can be enjoyed anytime as a snack! They make a great addition to lunch boxes or can be eaten as a fun treat after a meal. Simply offer them in a bowl or pack them in a snack bag for on-the-go munching.
How to Store Gut Healing Gummies
To keep your gut healing gummies fresh, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. They should last for about one week. If you want to keep them longer, you can also freeze them in an airtight container.
Tips to Make Gut Healing Gummies
- Make sure the juice you choose is natural and free of added sugars or preservatives.
- Experiment with different juices to create various flavors.
- Use silicone molds for fun shapes that kids will love!
Variation
You can add a bit of honey or maple syrup if you like your gummies sweeter. Just make sure to adjust the amount of juice slightly if you add sweeteners to maintain the right consistency.
